When i hear a lonely voice
singing my favourite songs -
breaking the silence of the night
i'll be wondering who the singer is
is he in some place warm and nice
or is there sadness in his eyes...
But now it has dawned on me
that it is not the song
that i long to hear
but the singer behind the song
and the feeling that love is near
gives comfort to what i hear...

A song is just like any other song -

and made it more beautiful
than beautiful...
'coz of the way he sings it -
and 'coz of what he means when he sings it...
...but a singer is versatile:
ReplyDeletehe sings happy songs when he is happy - and can even give a joyful note to a saddish song...?
he sings saddies when he's blue - and it makes everyone else around him blue... like "When i'm feeling blue..."?
he sings a love song when he is struck by cupid's arrow - and tells the world his love... like "Danny boy..." or "Beautiful girl..."?
Did i strike the nail right on the head again?
